Originally from the Dominican Republic, Lourdes Bernard grew up in Brooklyn and attended Syracuse University where she received her 5 year Bachelor of Architecture. After practicing Architecture in Washington DC for several years she relocated to NYC to attend the New York Studio School where she studied painting and drawing. She has exhibited her work in many galleries and her art is in numerous private collections.

A multi-disciplinary Artist her art weaves together beauty and storytelling to create site specific works that transform the environment. Her goal is that each artwork should be intense in its presence, and through its narrative content, materiality and composition, aggressively attract the viewer.
