“St.Barbara and The Holy Family” is inspired by a Veronese painting. Shown here in sacred conversation with the Holy family she was known for her physical beauty. St.Barbara escaped imprisonment by her father to convert to Christianity. The women physically dominate the composition in kinship and sisterhood and are depicted as a source of light . The viewer becomes part of this circle of contemplation, tranquility and safety. Exhibited at The Church of St.Paul the Apostle in NYC.
